Spa Care Instructions
Spa Start-up
1.
Fill spa with
clean water from garden hose through the filter compartment
2.
Add “nature 2
stick” to filter cartridge
3.
Add ph & ta up,
hardness increaser and Ph down as per the table below with all pumps and blowers

4.
Operate pumps
with spa cover off for at least 30 mins
5.
Test your spa
water using the test strips provided and adjust ph & alkalinity if required
6.
Add lithium
hypochorite as per table above and operate pumps for minimum 30 minutes with the
spa cover off
7.
Install spa
cover and wait until your spa reaches the desired set temperature
8.
ENJOY !!!!
After each time you use your spa
- Add
1 tablespoon of lithium hypochlorite to the spa and operate the pumps for 30
minutes with the spa cover removed.
Weekly
-
Test ph and alkalinity using test strips. If the ph and alkalinity are low
your water will become acidic and may be corrosive to heater elements and
other components over time.
- Use
Ph & Ta up to increase low ph and alkalinity
- Use
ph down to decrease high ph and alkalinity (no more than 1 tablespoon at a
time)

Shock dose spa with lithium hypochlorite as per start-up table above and
operate pumps for 30 minutes with spa cover off

Remove filters and hose with high pressure garden hose to remove solid
debris between filter pleats
Monthly
1.
Soak filter
cartridges in a quality filter soak solution for a minimum 1 hr or overnight if
possible.
2.
Rinse filters
with clean water to remove filter soak solution
Every 3-4 months
1.
Drain spa of
all water
2.
Clean inside
acrylic surface with methylated spirits and a clean cloth
3.
Clean spa cover
and treat with a quality vinyl protectant
4.
Replace nature
2 cartridge
5.
Repeat spa
start-up procedure
Every 6-12 months
1.
Use spa pipe
degreaser as per instructions to remove unhygienic body grease and fats from
inside pipework
Troubleshooting Water
Chemistry
If
water is cloudy or looks bad
1.
Check that
filters have been cleaned and soak them in a quality filter soak if necessary
2.
Check ph is
below 7.8 and adjust if necessary
3.
Shock dose with
lithium hypochlorite as per the spa start up procedure over the page
4.
Add a
tablespoon of a quality spa clarifier like OSPA water polish
5.
Run pumps for a
minimum 30 minutes with spa cover removed
6.
Adjust the
filtration cycle to maximum for 2 -3 days
7.
If spa is still
cloudy drain all the water and replenish with clean fresh water and repeat spa
start-up procedure
If
water is foaming
1.
Add 1
tablespoon of a quality anti foam solution such as OSPA Anti-Foam
Smelly Water
1.
Add lithium
hypochlorite as per spa start-up procedure and run pumps for a minimum 30
minutes with the spa cover removed
