Water Purity

Crystal Clear Water Management

Our optional Crystal Clear UV sanitiser is yet another industry first. Within the Crystal Clear system, water is passed through a UV sanitising system similar to that used in the bottled water industry. When incorporated with our Purezone™ filtration and programmable circulation pump, water quality improves and chemical use decreases. Ultraviolet light is a part of the electromagnetic spectrum that is invisible to the human eye because its wavelengths are too short. The way UV light goes about its sanitizing business is to break down the DNA of bacteria and the RNA of viruses. Sufficient dosages will prevent the organism from repairing itself, and it cannot replicate. Ultra violet light is also known to oxidize and eliminate organic material and green, black and brown algae.

UV advocates say the light can also destroy chloramines, the chlorine by product responsible for that undesirable "pool smell," as well as red eyes and skin irritation.

An Ozone Free Alternative

There are currently two methods of Ozone generation on the market: UV and CD. Both of these systems produce ozone gas - a powerful bleaching agent.

Ideally ozone stays completely dissolved into the water, however in practice it does not, which causes build up under the spa cover where it can attack the underside, as well as headrests and plastic fittings, causing them to stain, discolour, break down and eventually fail.

Unlike other systems, our UV Sanitiser is not only more effective than Ozone, but adds no gas or chemicals to the water - How?

It passes filtered water through the UV chamber where it is radiated with a specific wavelength of UV light.

This not only kills 99.9% of bacteria in the water on the first pass, but also oxidises Chloramines (the by-products of the disinfection process which cause "that chlorine smell" and sore eyes).

This reduces sore eyes, nasty smells, and the use of chemicals, whilst improving water quality without destroying parts of the spa.

 Purezone^TM Filtration 

Pure-zone uses a disposable filter cartridge bringing an end to weekly filter maintenance. Filtering to 1 microns, the Pure-zone system provides up to 50 times the filtration of traditional filters. This eliminates the need for chemical clarifiers or defoamers.

In addition, it's silver ion impregnated core offers unsurpassed antiseptic, bactericidal, deodorizing, anti mold and anti algae properties.

Coupled with O2's pioneering UV sanitising system, Purezone will assist in slashing chemical use and maintenance time.

Our in-house accupressurist plays an integral role in ensuring each spa we produce provides the absolute best massage possible. Together with our renowned international engineers, we ensure that every spa we make has the most effective combination of jets, ergonomic design, and precise water flow to ensure the Ultimate Hydrotherapy experience.

! An important feature to look for in a spa, are jets that are positioned to massage the muscles on each side of the spine, not the spine itself. You will notice that where possible O₂ avoids the use of jets that are placed centrally within a seat.

EfficiFlow™ Plumbing Network

Our exclusive EfficiFlow™ Plumbing Network provides superior hydrotherapy massage. Unlike other spa manufacturers that string their jets together, resulting in uneven, decreasing water pressures, our EfficiFlow™ Plumbing Network delivers uniform, penetrating pressure to every jet, through use of manifolds. In much the same way as a car uses a manifold to ensure even fuel flow to each cylinder.

SpaNet™ pumps

All O2 spas incorporate SpaNet™ pumps. The SpaNet™ spa pump is a dedicated jet pump giving outstanding flow at pressures needed to drive the large number of jets in O2 spas. One of the quietest in the industry at full strength, these pumps are designed so you can enjoy your spa pool, no matter who is nearby. In addition to the large 3hp (5.2bhp) jet pump(s), all O2 spas incorporate a programmable circulation pump for filtering and heating. Not only are our circulation pumps silent and incredibly energy efficient, but when married with our SpaNet controllers, filter times are fully programmable - an industry first. Our SpaNet™ spa pumps ensure that O2 spas deliver optimal performance with minimal maintenance and noise.

SportSage™ Bucket Seat

The SportSage™ bucket seat is featured on most O2 spas and is designed as the ultimate seat to sooth an ailing back. Featuring 10 mini jets each placed with pin point accuracy by our in-house certified acupressure practitioner, this seat is worth fighting for.

Invert Display - Operate the spa just as easily from inside as you can from outside

Lighting - Brightness, Mode, and Colour - selectable on the touch pad (and synchronised to the LED lights)

Clean-Up - Simply press a button on the touch pad when you exit the spa......this will activate the UV system and circ pump for 1 hour (after purging the plumbing system) to boost filtration immediately after use, so your spa is always at its best.

Pumps, Air blower, and Menu functions can also be controlled at the touch of a button, while a fully adjustable air blower speed provides maximum control. Our new Spa Net control system may look better than any other, but also performs better, by saving energy others don't.

It calculates how long the circulation pump has been used to heat the pool in any 24hr period, and then subtracts this time from the required daily filtration time.

This reduces unnecessary pump running time by up to 8 hours per day, increasing efficiency and extending circulation pump life.

Our Spa Net controllers comply with all of these safety standards for global safety and WEEE compliance.

Daily Purge Cycle

Unlike other control systems, our new Spa Net system will purge all the blower lines and boost pump lines 10 times, followed by a one hour clean up cycle. This happens daily and is automatic.

You can also press the clean-up button after heavy use to restore water quality.

This system eliminates long-term stagnation of water in the plumbing system, improving water safety and quality, while reducing chemical use, maintenance requirements and daily running costs.

In addition to the above benefits, longer term, this self-cleaning action reduces build up in plumbing lines that can accumulate in older hot tubs.

Multi colour LED lighting

Unlike other, more complicated systems, our LED system achieves the same dramatic lighting effects, with unsurpassed reliability.

By synchronising up to eight individual LED lights, you can bathe in your chosen spectrum of light, selectable at the touch of a button.

Because of the unique technology we use, the touch pad will change colour, brightness and mode in perfect synch with the individual lights.

Synchronisation means that when one LED changes colour, they all do, at the same time, and to the same colour.

Hydro Glow back lit jets

A recent innovation is O2's Hydro Glow back lit jets. Instead of LED lights being distributed around the spa shell, the jets themselves light up, ensuring that your O2 spa will become the talk of the neighbourhood.  


Multi-layer Shell Construction

From value-minded to high-end, every O ₂ spa is built with our exclusive Multi-layer Shell Construction. The shell is comprised of 4 layers, including an acrylic surface, vinyl ester resin, to ensure a strong bond and to eliminate de-lamination, clear resin and fibreglass for maximum strength (no chalk-filling), plus a special “flo-coat” ultra high density insulation to insulate your spa and water proof the shell. Our Multi-layer construction, imitates the way luxury yachts are constructed. Reinforcement supports and strength beams are added to principal stress areas to ensure maximum strength and no cracking. Finally, the footwell (traditionally the weakest area of a spa) is strengthened using encapsulated honeycomb reinforcing and timber cross bracing.

The end result of our Multi-layer process is a spa shell that will last a lifetime.

SpaNet Heater™

We believe our SpaNet Heater™ is the industry’s best spa heater. It is ultra efficient, uses optical water flow rate detection and a Teflon™ coated, Incoloy™ element to eliminate electrolysis and the settling problems experienced in conventional heaters. For added reliability and safety, the SpaNet Heater™ has integrated sensors, is silver souldered and utilises a non corroding, non-metallic heater body. Over the top for a portable spa? Perhaps. But then again, at O₂ we never compromise on your safety.

Thermoclad Cabinet

The best, most realistic alternative to western red cedar wood, is virtually indistinguishable, even up-close. The Thermo-guard cabinet provides the natural looks of cedar from a synthetic plastic that is easy to clean and requires no maintenance at all.

Available in Synthetic Cedar or Coastal Grey; however if you prefer the real thing, we still offer genuine Canadian Red Cedar wood.

Heatlock Insulation

Our self supporting shells enable us to do things differently from many other spa manufacturers. Despite recent pressure to reduce foam application, even some premium brands still use expanding two-pack foam to support their shells. This foam not only degrades over time and impairs servicing, but can also release very high levels of VOC’s into the environment during application. This is can be very destructive and polluting;  damaging water courses, soil, groundwater, the atmosphere, wildlife, and the respiratory organs of the workers who apply it.

Advocates of environmentally-friendly products, and safe working conditions, O2spas now use a safe, environmentally friendly, yet equally effective alternative to foam which enables waste heat to be re-used.

Pumps get very hot during operation, so much in fact that they need a large breathing space. Because foam-filled hot tubs don't have an air space for pumps to breathe, vents are cut into the access panel so that this heat can escape.

However, our new perimeter-insulated models, utilise this waste heat. The pumps heat the air space under the pool, as this rises above the water temperature, the waste heat is drawn through the shell and into the spa water.

Re-using this waste heat not only reduces running costs, but also helps to maintain water temperature during cold weather use. Our perimeter heat reflection system recycles waste heat from our pumps, making our spas some of the most efficient you can buy.

Programmable Circulation Pump

While most circulation pumps run 24 hour a day, our circulation pumps use larger diameter plumbing, meaning the pump runs for much less time to achieve the same filtration levels, prolonging its’ lifespan considerably, improving filtration and dramatically reducing energy consumption.

We're so confident about this system; we have given our pumps a 3 Year Warranty, unlike many other brands who offer just 12 months cover on their smaller pumps which run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
